DEC ACTIVE HEAVE COMPENSATION (AHC) WINCHES

DEC AHC Winch is an advanced system designed for precise and stable load handling from vessels or rigs to underwater targets such as the seabed, subsea installations, or other fixed structures. This winch is equipped with Active Heave Compensation (AHC) technology, ensuring that the load remains at a constant elevation regardless of the vertical movements of the vessel or rig caused by waves, wind, or other environmental factors.

The AHC system utilizes real-time data from a Motion Reference Unit (MRU) to track the vessel’s motion and determine the relative position of the load. Based on this input, the DEC AHC Winch automatically adjusts the cable tension, either paying in or paying out, to maintain the load’s position without any vertical displacement.
